Prime Time Radio

KSFC Sundays 3-4 p.m.

Prime Time Radio is a one-hour weekly interview program that focuses on the wide-ranging interests and concerns of Americans 40 and older.

Veteran public talk show host Mike Cuthbert sits down with exceptional people and brings out their wisdom and expertise. He talks fitness with Nolan Ryan, "the good old days" with Studs Terkel, and turning 50 with humorist Bill Geist. Mike Cuthbert interviews writer Anna Quindlen Other guests include the nation's brightest and most provocative authors, politicians, business leaders, and journalists. Answering Mike's penetrating questions, they discuss topics covering many points of view and interests including: Preserving Social Security for our children and grandchildren The safety and efficacy of drugs. The "bible" of American cooks, "The Joy of Cooking." Prime Time welcomes an honest airing of different opinions.

Cuthbert prepares carefully for each show. "I try to put myself in the listener's place." Each interview reflects his belief that older Americans have broad interests and concerns. They are enthusiastic about life and eager to experience all they can. After three years as host of Prime Time, Mike`s learned that listeners "are experienced enough to appreciate what I'm talking about."

Prime Time bridges the generation gap. It speaks to baby boomers as well as to those 55 and older. Like many listeners, its host straddles the generations. At 55, he's a grandfather and yet still parenting a teenager with his wife, Jennifer.
