What is podcasting?
Podcasting lets you download audio files from the Internet. A podcast is any audio made available to you through a feed, called RSS (Really Simple Syndication). When you subscribe to a podcast audio files are delivered to you automatically much like your morning newspaper.
 
What do I need to listen to podcasts?
All you need is an Internet connection, a computer, and free podcasting software. You do not need to own an iPod or MP3 player to listen to podcasts. However, you do need one if you'd like to make your audio portable.

Podcasting software can be downloaded from such sites as Juice, jPodder, or iTunes. After installing the software, follow their directions to subscribe to your favorite podcasts. Once you've subscribed and downloaded the audio, you can transfer those files to your iPod or any other MP3 player, or you can just listen to them on your computer.
 
How do I play a podcast?
Just click the player link next to for each show you're interested in listening to. Depending on your browser, the podcast feed will look like a bunch of code. Just copy and paste the URL (Web address) of this page into your podcast software.
