KPBX’s Recordings & Videos Sale is the largest classic and used sale of its kind in the region and is a highly-anticipated annual event for fans of recorded music, many of whom line up hours before doors open in mid-February to get their hands on the best collectors’ items.  In recent years it has also garnered a younger following because of the free entrance fee and plethora of cheap albums, CDs, turntables, speakers, amplifiers, and more. Most items are priced under $5. For 2012, the classic equipment auction will be held in its own room across from the auditorium, making more room for record buyers to browse and shop. Saturday sale hours are 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Entry to the sale is free, and proceeds go to support the programming and operations of Spokane Public Radio.
