Spokane Public Radio wants to keep you posted on the latest research and information about health concerns and issues that face our region. Each year, the station hosts a public forum about a contemporary topic, then invites a panel of local doctors and experts to bring their findings and take questions from the audience.

KPBX and KSFC will present our annual Health Forum in cooperation with City Cable 5 on March 13, 2012. Public TV and Radio Health moderator Steve Becker will host the program featuring a panel of state, regional and local experts (see below) and questions from our live audience. In the past, we have presented forums on sleep disorders, alternative medicine, MS, aging issues and the family, breast cancer, autism, navigating the health care maze, teen issues and diabetes. This year we will focus on how the water quality in our region called: Northwest Water, your health, your life. How does water affect the health and recreational lives of people in our area now and what’s the prognosis for the future? Do our water needs change as we go through our cycle of life? What's the effect of chemicals in our drinking and recreational waters on our bodies? The forum will be held in the City Council Chambers from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. You're invited to join us to ask questions and make observations about Northwest Water: your health, your life.
