& Appearances from Local Mascots

VENUE CHANGE DUE TO WEATHER!
The Bing Crosby Theatre, 901 W. Sprague, Spokane

What
better way to spend a Friday afternoon, but on the lawn of Riverfront
Park with a picnic lunch and some rousing traditional music from The
Spokane British Brass Band Ensemble, who will take you back to the
days of The Crystal Palace in London, site of the first brass band festival
in 1900.
During the concert, local mascots Wattson, the Avista Energy Dog, Otto
from the Spokane Indians, and the Tooth Fairy from Moffitt Children's
Dentistry, will gather up the kids for a march around the park to
the sounds of trumpets, tubas, and euphoniums!
The Spokane British Brass Band is a community group comprised of
horn musicians from all walks of life. They strive to provide high-level
performances, encompassing a wide variety of musical styles, including
original brass band literature, marches, band, and orchestra transcriptions,
and even some jazz — so their KPBX Kids’ Concert is bound to be entertaining.
Make sure not to miss this lively outdoor performance at noon on June
19.
