Verne Windham, SPR Program Director
& Classical Music Host

Verne Windham (center, holding Hayden and Genevieve, the next generation of public radio listeners) is KPBX's classical music guru. He finds every occasion to play his French horn,
or at least to share horn music on the air. He is presently conductor of the Spokane Youth Orchestra.

Verne received his formal training at Eastman School of Music
and Washington State University. Prior to his radio career he was an instructor of horn at WSU as well as principal horn with the Spokane Symphony. Windham has conducted the Spokane Symphony on a full-season educational tour. He was founder
of the Zelenka Quintet of New York and has been soloist with
the Montana Chamber Orchestra.
